The ESCO EFA-4UDRCW-8 "Frontier ACELA" fume hood is a state-of-the-art fume hood uniquely designed and manufactured to minimize energy consumption during operation.

Main body

Special design featuring various sash opening modes with variable face velocities optimizes exhaust fan operating efficiency for maximum energy savings. The sash can be opened vertically or slid horizontally.
The hood is designed to comply with US ASHRAE 110-1995 and European EN14175 standards for fume hoods
The cabinet body is designed with a robust 3-layer construction, coated with ISOCIDE™ antimicrobial powder coating.
The frame is made of powder-coated alloy steel, with an internal high-corrosion-resistant epoxy-polyester coating
A 5° sloped front improves user visibility. The inclined front allows users to easily view every corner of the cabinet and maximizes the usable work area.
Additionally, a sash stop safety mechanism controls sash opening at the regulated height of 457mm to prevent operating the hood with the sash opened too high, ensuring energy efficiency
A sash stop is available to keep the sash open or fully closed.
Accessories include: 1 gas tap, 1 water tap, 4 electrical sockets.

Exhaust air volume:

+ With face velocity 0.3m/s at sash opening 457mm: 541m3/h

+ With face velocity 0.4m/s at sash opening 457mm: 721m3/h

+ With face velocity 0.5m/s at sash opening 457mm: 901m3/h

+ With face velocity 0.3m/s at fully open sash: 899m3/h

+ With face velocity 0.4m/s at fully open sash: 1199m3/h

+ With face velocity 0.5m/s at fully open sash: 1499m3/h

Exhaust collar outer diameter: 305mm
Worktops for the ACELA series are made of various materials depending on customer applications with different price options: (e.g., Phenolic resin; Epoxy resin; stainless steel 304; 316, or ceramic);
The most economical, standard worktop is made of thick black phenolic resin, a material with good wear resistance that increases durability and minimizes damage when users spill chemicals.
